With her striking stage presence and highly expressive playing, Noémie Raymond approaches each work as a space for dialogue. “The result is a performance that resembles less a recital than a conversation, where every voice is heard and every nuance explored” (La Scena Musicale).

An active soloist on the international stage, Noémie Raymond has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Oji Hall in Tokyo, and will soon appear at the Berlin Philharmonie. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Midori and Pinchas Zukerman, as well as prestigious orchestras such as the National Arts Centre Orchestra and the Orchestre de la Francophonie.

Holding degrees from the University of Montreal, the New England Conservatory, and the Eastman School of Music (doctorate), she was named one of CBC’s 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians Under 30 and has distinguished herself in prestigious competitions such as the Tremplin International and the Schadt String International Competition.

Committed to teaching and cultural mediation, she sees music as a force for human and social transformation.

Noémie plays Matteo Goffriller’s “Ex-Curtis” cello (1700), graciously provided to her by the Drummondville-based company Canimex, owned by music patron Roger Dubois.
